We’re so excited to announce that construction has begun on our new Orlando shelter!
As the future home of the Kylie J. Capri
Campus and Edward H. Hensley Adoption
Center, this 25,000 sq ft facility will be a
beacon for animal welfare in Central
Florida.
Once open, the modernized space located on
John Young Parkway will include indoor and
outdoor play yards, air conditioning for all
pets, an enhanced area dedicated to adoption
services, plus a vegetable and herb garden
for enrichment and natural treats!
The jewel of the shelter will be the 10,000
sq ft veterinary unit to care for ill or
injured animals with disease-specific
quarantine space for both dogs and cats, as
well as dedicated rooms for neonatal
kittens. This new era of our shelter
veterinary abilities will allow us to help
even more animals than ever before!
Construction of the new shelter is conducted
by H.J. High, and the design is by Borrelli
+ Partners. The buildout will take
approximately 14 months with an estimated
completion date of February 2026.
Naming opportunities are still available!
Help make a difference for thousands of
cats and dogs in our community for years
to come!
